Fifth MARS General Assembly brings the consortium together in beautiful Athens

The fifth general assembly of the MARS project took place in the city of Athens in Greece from May 26th to 28th 2025, organized by the partners  National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and UBITECH. The General Assembly always gives the consortium the opportunity to come together to discuss, develop ideas, share the progress of the work and spend some time outside of the project work. The first day already provided the opportunity to come together and visit Athens when all participants arrived and enjoyed a guided tour through central Athens. A Welcome Dinner at the Traditional Taverna “O Platanos” concluded the first day of the event.

Technical work advances – discussions and exchange in our consortium

Day two started with coffee and a warm welcome to all partners of the project. The morning was spent discussing the technical issues and the progress of the projects workpackages. The fruitful discussions could take place in-person, and this led to a real exchange and effort from all partners to address open questions and work together. The day progressed with discussions around project work and coffee breaks. After lunch in the afternoon, a workshop was organized by Noosware BV on Modular architecture and integration planning of MARS components.

Acropolis Museum and Gala Dinner

The first day ended with a visit of the Acropolis Museum and a Gala Dinner to continue discussions over good food and company.

Looking ahead – future research proposals and business ideas

On the third day of the event, the advisory committee came together and afterwards the final work packages were discussed. A business model discussion created space to think about further dissemination of the project results. After a short coffee break, the upcoming steps for the workpackages and partners were discussed. In this spirit, a future research proposal roundtable was organized. The General Assembly closed with a joint lunch.

The spirit of collaboration during the GAB meeting contributed to a truly great event. The deep commitment to achieving results together as a team is what drives our project.
